#SmartHeartCourage: KFC, Pizza Hut and Taco Bell celebrate graduates
Published on May 26, 2020
At Yum!, KFC, Pizza Hut, Taco Bell and The Habit Burger Grill, we lead with smart, heart and courage. This mindset helps us forge ahead when faced with challenges, and that’s especially true with the COVID-19 pandemic.
We’re witnessing so many examples in which our people are developing innovative solutions, supporting those in need and braving each day in an uncertain environment. Each week, we’ll share a few of them with you in hopes that they’ll inspire you to lead with smart, heart and courage in your area of the world.
Today, we recognize:
Pizza Hut U.S. and America's dairy farmers for honoring 2020 graduates by supplying them with half a million free one-topping, medium pizzas. "Our brand has a long history of celebrating moments that matter – like graduations – and Pizza Hut takes pride in being a part of our customers' big days. So, it's only natural that we'd be there for students and their families to help celebrate the accomplishments of the graduating class of 2020," said George Felix, chief marketing officer, Pizza Hut U.S.
The Taco Bell Foundation for giving $3 million in Live Más Scholarships to over 600 Taco Bell team members and fans, ranging from $2,500-$25,000 per student. Plus, the foundation is providing $8 million in grants to local nonprofit organizations empowering youth across the country, during a time when access to educational resources is more essential than ever.
KFC U.S. for celebrating its employee graduates through online recognition. The KFC Foundation (U.S.) will grant restaurant general managers, assistant managers, shift supervisors and team members approximately $1 million in REACH college tuition assistance this summer.
