#SmartHeartCourage:Taco Bell spices up conference call backgrounds, The Habit feeds first responders and more

At Yum!, KFC, Pizza Hut, Taco Bell and The Habit Burger Grill, we lead with smart, heart and courage. This mindset helps us forge ahead when faced with challenges, and that’s especially true with the COVID-19 pandemic.
We’re witnessing so many examples in which our people are developing innovative solutions, supporting those in need and braving each day in an uncertain environment. Each week, we’ll share a few of them with you in hopes that they’ll inspire you to lead with smart, heart and courage in your area of the world.
Today, we recognize:
- SMART: Taco Bell develops 10 conference call backups to spice up our work-from-home life "because if you’re going to be on camera all day, might as well be surrounded by tacos."
- HEART: With hundreds of thousands of people affected by COVID-19 worldwide, the Yum! Brands Foundation establishes a global medical relief fund for restaurant employees of KFC, Pizza Hut, Taco Bell and The Habit Burger Grill and those restaurants' franchisee employees. Restaurant team members who have been positively diagnosed with COVID-19, or are caring for someone who has been diagnosed, can apply for a one-time $1,000 grant.
- COURAGE: The Habit Burger Grill deploys its food truck fleet to provide over 8,000 complimentary meals to courageous healthcare professionals throughout California and will continue feeding them throughout April.
