The Yum! Automation team is focused on developing, integrating and implementing automation technologies to enhance operational efficiency across our four iconic brands. The team’s initiatives include developing and testing automation solutions in the back-of-house to improve labor productivity and streamline operations while enhancing the guest experience. In collaboration with brand teams and leveraging an ecosystem of startups, suppliers and partners, the goal is to drive value for our brands’ franchisees and customers year-over-year by providing cutting-edge technology solutions. The team operates the RED (relevant, easy, distinctive) Labs, which is a state-of-the-art innovation, development, prototyping and testing facility within our Plano, Texas, campus.

Collider builds relevant, easy and distinctive brands through its work as a strategy, branding and innovation consultant company specific to Yum!. Using modern marketing theory, System 1 consumer research, advanced data science tools and expert collaborators, the team likes to solve big, complex problems with culture-leading ideas that help brands grow. Its work includes product and brand positioning, portfolio architecture, cultural trend decoding and so much more!

Launched in early 2025, the Byte by Yum!™ team is building the future of restaurant technology through dedicated product strategy, engineering, experience design and more. As the team behind the proprietary Byte by Yum!™ Software as a Service (Saas), the team works to unify core restaurant functions, including digital ordering and smart operations, into one seamless ecosystem. Purpose-built to serve the needs of our global franchisees and customers, Byte by Yum!™ enables smarter decisions, faster service and more consistent operations. With a deep commitment to innovation and cross-functional collaboration, the Byte by Yum!™ team is driving Yum!’s digital transformation at scale to shape the next generation of restaurant experiences.
