KFC Africa renews partnership with Cricket South Africa

KFC Africa has renewed its longstanding partnership with Cricket South Africa, the governing organization that promotes and develops cricket across the nation, for the KFC Mini-Cricket Program.

KFC Africa’s Mini-Cricket, in partnership with Cricket SA, gives boys and girls between ages 3 and 12 their first taste of cricket, one of South Africa’s most loved sports.

KFC Africa’s Mini-Cricket is the largest national grassroots sports program in the country, with almost 120,000 children taking part, getting active and making new friends.

KFC Africa announced that for the first time, they will partner with the South African National cricket team, Proteas Women.

Almost 75% of the current Proteas Women’s professional cricket players began their journey as kids in KFC Mini-Cricket — proof of the program’s power as a true pipeline from grassroots cricket to the national stage.

KFC Africa General Manager Akhona Qengqe – a proud mini-Cricket alumna – shared that extending the partnership to the Proteas Women is a natural evolution of KFC’s long-standing commitment to empowerment through sport.
