Community Impact Month 2025

This September, over 400 Yum! Brands employees celebrated Community Impact Month across the U.S.! Employees gave more than 500 hours to make a positive impact on their communities, participating in activities like packing meals and hygiene kits, donating blood through the American Red Cross, and helping local food banks.

In partnership with Blessings in a Backpack, employees in Dallas, Texas; Irvine, California; and Louisville, Kentucky, packed meals for students who might otherwise go hungry over the weekends.

Yum! Brands CEO Chris Turner joined team members in Plano, Texas, to pack meals for students. “As the world's largest restaurant company, it’s extremely important for us to volunteer to help our communities,” he said. “When we can make an impact in those communities by feeding kids who have a need, it further drives our purpose.”

“I love working for a company that believes not just in driving growth, but in driving good growth,” said Habit Burger & Grill CEO Shannon Hennessy. “Food insecurity is a place where we can really play a role in improving the lives of kids both in the U.S. and around the world.”

Employees also participated in other volunteer activities including donating blood through the American Red Cross and participating in Metro United Way’s Greatest Give Back where they packed hygiene and laundry kits for those in need in the Louisville area.

Our Louisville-based employees also volunteered with Dare to Care for the Food Fight Day of Service, in which they assisted a local food bank with a renovation project.

Forty employees from Habit Burger & Grill hosted their own activation with Orange County Food Bank at The Giving Farm, harvesting 7,600 pounds of fresh produce that will feed our community members facing food insecurity.

A group of Taco Bell employees in Irvine also participated in Community Impact Month by volunteering to stock, organize and clean up
