Yum! is dedicated to the recruitment of minority franchisees, connecting successful professionals who bring unique perspectives and talents that meet the needs of our consumers to brands people crave: KFC, Pizza Hut and Taco Bell! It’s our goal to help potential minority franchisees leverage their experience to become a successful franchisee with some of the biggest brands in the restaurant industry.
Our system is actively engaged in programs that support minority franchisee development and are proud of our successes so far. We played a large leadership role in developing and launching the International Franchise Association’s MinorityFran Program. MinorityFran is an initiative in partnership with community leaders such as the National Urban League, National Council of LaRaza, the Association of Small Business Development Centers, and the US Pan-Asian American Chamber of Commerce, that provides a one-stop point of access for minority prospects who are exploring franchise opportunities. In addition, we sponsored an NAACP executive-level leadership forum to further recruit qualified minority franchise candidates. With this and other efforts, we continue to strengthen our relationship with many minority organizations to pursue diversity in our franchisees with intentionality.

Minority Lending Capital Program
As part of its commitment to diversity, Yum! established a minority lending assistance program focused on aiding qualified prospective ethnic minority franchisees, with a particular emphasis on African American and Hispanic individuals, in their efforts to enter the KFC, Pizza Hut and Taco Bell systems. We work with existing lenders to facilitate access to capital for qualifying franchisees.
