NO MONKEYING AROUND FOR PIZZA HUT® AS THE RESTAURANT CHAIN EXPANDS THE FUNDRAISING EFFORT TO SUPPORT THE DETROIT ZOO

Detroit, MI (June, 2006) – Detroit area Pizza Hut® restaurants are raising the bar this year with the expansion of the 'Do the Zoo Thing' Fundraiser for the Detroit Zoo. To show support for this beloved community organization, Detroit area Pizza Hut restaurants are expanding its 2005 local efforts to include the fundraising initiative for all dine-in, delivery and carryout business. In 2005, Pizza Hut raised $5,000 for the Zoo through its dine-in business only. The goal this year is $10,000.

From June 21 - September 30, customers can purchase The True Zoo Family Deal for $19.99 at participating Detroit area Pizza Hut restaurants. Pizza Hut will donate 20% of the purchase proceeds from The True Zoo Family Deal to the Detroit Zoo, with a maximum $10,000, minimum $5,000 contribution. The Deal consists of two Medium pizzas (up to 3-Topping or Specialty), an order of breadsticks and four soft drinks (or a 2 liter of Pepsi®).

As part of the support of the Detroit Zoo, Pizza Hut also is the presenting sponsor of the Summer Festivals. A total of four festivals will be held from June - September 2006, with each festival celebrating different ethnic groups. "We want to show our passion for the community by stepping up our support of the Detroit Zoo," said Jim DeSynder, Pizza Hut Region Coach. "It is also very important to us to celebrate the diverse backgrounds of our employees and customers by promoting the Summer Festival series and to encourage learning about new cultures."

The program, which begins on June 25th and continues on select Saturdays through September 30th, will be filled with fun cultural activities including entertainment, arts and crafts and a cultural community resource. The activities take place in the plaza east of the Ford Education Center during Zoo hours and are free with the cost of Zoo admission.
