Yum! Brands Receives 2009 Brillante Award for Corporate Excellence from National Society of Hispanic MBAs *** Diversity Drives Culture and Business at World’s Largest Restaurant Company

LOUISVILLE, KY, August 20, 2009 – Yum! Brands, Inc. (NYSE: YUM), the world’s largest restaurant company and parent of KFC, Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, Long John Silver’s and A&W Restaurants, has received The National Society of Hispanic MBAs’ (NSHMBA) 2009 Brillante Award for Corporate Excellence. According to the National Society of Hispanic MBAs (NSHMBA), the Brillante Award for Corporate Excellence is the organization’s most prestigious honor, and is presented to a corporation whose work and contributions reflect the organization’s mission to foster Hispanic leadership through graduate management education and professional development.

Since 2005, Yum! has partnered with NSHMBA to create “NSHMBA U”, an annual leadership development retreat, hosted at Yum! corporate headquarters, for the organization’s National Chapter President and its Board of Directors. The National Society of Hispanic MBAs (NSHMBA) was created in 1988 as a 501(C)(3) non–profit organization. Widely known as the “Premier Hispanic Organization,” NSHMBA serves 32 chapters and 8,000 members in the U.S. and Puerto Rico. It exists to foster Hispanic leadership through graduate management education and professional development.
