LOUISVILLE, KY, October 07, 2004 – Yum! Brands, Inc. (NYSE: YUM) today announced it is holding its first Global Customer Appreciation Day as a way to celebrate customers and recognize restaurant leaders that are providing great customer service. The company chose to announce the winners today as part of the celebration of the seventh anniversary of its formation as a new company.
Thousands of Restaurant General Managers (RGMs), across the U.S. from each brand — A&W All-American Food, KFC, Long John Silver’s, Pizza Hut and Taco Bell — nominated their best customers. “Global Customer Appreciation Day is a way to let our customers know how much we value them,” said David Novak, Chairman and CEO, Yum!
