Taco Bell Makes Breakfast Launch an Opportunity to ‘Wake Up, Live Más and Step Más’

In a partnership with Virgin Pulse, Taco Bell is continuing to help employees achieve breakthrough wellness results.

Taco Bell’s Restaurant Support Center (RSC) and field associates are going head-to-head in celebration of the brand's Breakfast launch by participating in a Breakfast Challenge March 12 through April 23. Teams are competing in efforts to track the most steps over a six-week period. Associates can win various prizes depending on their activity levels tracked.

Taco Bell chose corporate wellness partner Virgin Pulse, part of Sir Richard Branson's Virgin Group, because the company's philosophy reinforces the brand's 'Live365' holistic approach to all categories of wellbeing: physical, social/emotional, mental and financial.

"The partnership with Virgin Pulse is about providing our employees with a holistic wellness tool that not only rewards them for being active, but also provides them with useful, relevant resources to get more out of life all 365 days of the year," said Taco Bell Wellness Coordinator Dallas Brede.

"I am fully engaged with the Virgin Pulse and it is a habit," said Senior Operations Consultant Robert Schalow. "Having one point of entry into a website is easier to track and stay up with."

Operations Market Coach Tina Carroll said the program is more than a contest – it's a lifestyle change. "I am so addicted to my Fitbit® and Virgin Pulse!"

Taco Bell will announce the Breakfast Challenge winners internally the week of April 28.
