KFC Russia Footbattle Festival and Golden World Award Win
July 28, 2016
More than 150,000 people took part in the 2016 KFC Footbattle Festival in Moscow earlier this month, where football teams representing 27 Russian and CIS countries battled it out for the win. The football players weren’t the only ones competing – hip-hop, beatbox, crossfit, fitness, and standup battles also took place during the event, with top Russian hip-hop artist, L’One, performing during the grand finale.
A great success each year, KFC Russia launched the Footbattle Festival five years ago with an aim to popularize sports, encourage a healthy lifestyle, and develop talent and amateur sports among teenagers.
The excitement for the KFC Russian team definitely didn’t stop after the conclusion of the amazing festival – they were also awarded with a 2016 Golden World Award by the International Public Relations Association in the Integration of Tradition and New Media category for their successful execution of the KFC Youth Minifootball Cup 2015.
